  • Access Communications

    Access Communications Co-operative Ltd. is a Canadian cable television provider, operating mainly in Regina, Saskatchewan and other nearby communities. It was previously known as Regina Cablevision Co-operative Ltd. but did business as Cable Regina since commencement of service in Regina in 1978 until April 2000 after acquisitions of cable television operations in Weyburn, Estevan and Yorkton and surrounding communities. Dial up Internet service was first offered in September 1995. Cable modem broadband service followed in 1997. On February 7th 2007, Access Communications launched its primary line telephone service in Regina in direct competition with Saskatchewan's government owned ILEC, SaskTel.

  • Bell TV

    Bell TV, formerly known as Bell ExpressVu, Dish Network Canada and ExpressVu Dish Network, is the division of Bell Canada Enterprises that provides satellite television service across Canada. It launched on September 10, 1997 and as of 2004 it has been providing "ExpressVu TV for Condos", a VDSL service provided to select multidwelling units (condominiums and apartments) in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. Bell TV provides over 500+ digital video and 90 HD and audio channels to, as of May 2008, over 1.8 million subscribers. Its major competitors include satellite service Star Choice, as well as various cable and communications companies across Canada, such as Rogers Communications, Shaw Communications, and Vidéotron.

  • Cablevision (Canada)

    Cablevision du Nord de Québec, formerly Electrovision de La Tuque, is a cable television and Internet provider in Canada. The company predominantly serves the Abitibi-Témiscamingue area, though it serves other parts of Quebec and Ontario as well.

    Cablevision's offices are in Val-d'Or, Quebec. It is 100%-owned by Télébec.

  • Cogeco

    Cogeco Inc. (TSX: CGO) is a Canadian media and communications company.

    The corporation first entered the television business in the mid-1950s with the launch of a Radio-Canada affiliate in Trois-Rivières, CKTM-TV. Later the company expanded with the creation of CKSH-TV in Sherbrooke, a radio network and diversification in the cable television industry. Until 2008, Cogeco co-owned the TQS network with CTVglobemedia, as well as eight television stations affiliated with both TQS and Radio-Canada. TQS and its five owned-and-operated stations were sold to Remstar Corporation, and the Radio-Canada affiliates were sold directly to Radio-Canada, in 2008.

    Through its broadcast holdings, Cogeco Cable (TSX: CCA) is a major cable television distributor offering analogue and digital television, as well as high-speed Internet services and VoIP telephony. It is the second largest cable system operator in both Ontario and Quebec, (respectively behind Rogers & Videotron), and the fourth largest in Canada.

    Craig Wireless is a Canadian company which offers MMDS broadband communications services, including digital cable and high-speed Internet, in Manitoba, British Columbia, California and Greece.

  • Dery Telecom

    Dery Telecom is a cable television distributor and Internet service provider in Canada based in Saguenay, Quebec.

  • EastLink (company)

    Bragg Communications Inc., carrying on business as EastLink, is a group of companies providing the incumbent cable television services, competitive internet, Metro Ethernet and wireline telephone services, serving nearly all major centres of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island as well as Sackville, New Brunswick and much of rural Newfoundland and Labrador.

  • Look Communications

    LOOK TV is a digital cable, internet service and web hosting provider. Based in Montreal, Look was once linked to former crown corporation Teleglobe and Chinese ISP Inter Pacific Online.

  • Mountain Cablevision

    Mountain Cable is one of three cable television service providers for the city of Hamilton, Ontario and its surrounding area. The other two providers are Cogeco and Source Cable (formerly known as Southmount Cable). Each company has a monopoly in a specific part of the city of Hamilton; Mountain Cable serves the Hamilton Mountain area and Haldimand County.

  • Northwestel

    Northwestel (a short-form name, sometimes spelt NorthwesTel, for Northwest Telecommunications) Inc. is the incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC) and long distance carrier in northern Canada.

  • Persona Communications

    Persona Communications, formerly Regional Cablesystems, is a cable television, Internet and telecommunications provider in Canada. The company predominantly serves rural towns, although it also serves a few larger cities such as Timmins, Sudbury and Grande Prairie.

  • Shaw Broadcast Services

    Shaw Satellite Services (French: Services de Radiodiffusion Shaw) is a Canadian company responsible for providing and managing the distribution of television channels to cable companies via satellite. Shaw also operates Star Choice, a Canadian direct broadcast satellite service.

  • Source Cable

    Source Cable (formerly known as Southmount Cable) is one of three main Cable television service providers for the city of Hamilton, Ontario. The other two are Mountain Cablevision and Cogeco. Each company has a monopoly in a specific part of the city of Hamilton; Source Cable's service area is south of Limeridge Road to the end of the original Hamilton city limits (south, east and west).

  • Star Choice

    Star Choice is a direct broadcast satellite television distributor in Canada which is majority-owned by cable TV operator Shaw Communications Inc. As of 2008, Star Choice had over 870,000 subscribers. It broadcasts on Ku band from two communications satellites, Anik F1R at 107.3°W and Anik F2 at 111.1°W; these satellites are owned by Telesat Canada and otherwise are used primarily to distribute programming to various Canadian cable TV companies.

  • Vidéotron

    Vidéotron Limited is an integrated Telecommunications company active in cable television, interactive multimedia development, video on demand, Cable telephony, wireless communication and Internet access services, primarily serving Québec, Canada, as well as some parts of Eastern Ontario. It is a subsidiary of Quebecor Media.

  • Westman Communications Group

    Westman Communications Group (WCG) is the operating name of Westman Media Co-operative. Formerly referred to as Westman Cable, it is the main cable television company for the city of Brandon, Manitoba and the surrounding towns and villages of southwestern Manitoba. WCG was established in 1977 and originally provided cable television to the city of Brandon. In 1978, WCG expanded its coverage to include Carberry. Today, WCG provides analog and digital cable, and internet service to the following communities: Benito, Binscarth, Birch River, Birtle, Boissevain, Bowsman, Brandon, Carberry, Dauphin, Deloraine, Elkhorn, Erickson, Gilbert Plains, Gladstone, Glenboro, Grandview, Hamiota, Killarney, McCreary, Melita, Minitonas, Minnedosa, Neepawa, Rivers, Roblin, Rossburn, Russell, Sandy Lake, Shilo, Shoal Lake, Souris, St. Lazare, Ste Rose, Strathclair, Swan River, Virden.
